"Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'
"Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.' I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
The importance of prayer in missionary work is constantly reflected in Paul's life. He instructs his protégé Timothy, "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone" (1 Tim. 2:1). Similarly, Paul writes in Philippians 4:6: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Prayer is essential to God's work through us among the people of North Africa. We ask that you, our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, join us in praying for these people. To aid your prayer we have provided profiles on the major people groups of this region. Each profile contains general details and information about the group as well as some broad prayer points.

Eccl. 12:1-7 "Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, 'I have no pleasure in them...' Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it."
- that the king and all authorities will be influenced by God to make good decisions for their country, and for more freedom.
Tunisia
- these scriptures as the sun scorches the land, that spiritual waters will refresh and all will bloom with His love: Isaiah 35: 1-2 "The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy." Isaiah 42: 10-11 "Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea... Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice."
- for workers as they travel to many places, that they will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 "A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes will himself be refreshed."
- for the workers who have the desire to dwell in unity and love and to sort out conflicts and issues that arise, that there will be healing in relationships where needed.
- that national believers will also walk in a spirit of love and reconciliation.
