Support Us

Throughout the Bible, Christians are encouraged to give. God is generous to us, and we are called to be good stewards of what he gives us. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8:

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Proverbs 3:9 says, "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops." Luke 12:48 teaches, "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." 1 Corinthians 9:14 says, "The Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel."

There is no central source of funds or salaries in YWAM. Every ministry must raise its own support, as must each worker. Please consider helping us to reach the unreached peoples of the Sahara Desert region through monthly, annual or one-time gifts.

Highlighted financial needs

YWAM's North Africa Center is located in southern Spain near the coastal city of Málaga. Our building was purchased in 1991 with a combination of gifts from supporters and a 20-year mortgage loan. Paying off this loan will free up vital funds for more direct ministry purposes. In May 2008, the outstanding balance on the loan was just over €34,000.

Our monthly operating expenses average around €3,800. Regular donations and ministry income cover about €3,250. We are seeking monthly supporters to help make up the difference.

The "Friendship Fund" keeps a reserve on hand for the occasions when our field workers encounter unexpected needs, such as emergency medical care, a sudden shortfall in committed monthly support, or unforeseen ministry expenses. The "Wellspring Fund" assists our workers with development projects and business start-ups, both of which enable them to stay long-term in the field. Donations to either of these funds are always welcome.
