Training

The Sahara Center offers a two-phase training program for field workers, divided as follows:

Phase One is the Discipleship Training School (DTS), which is YWAM's entry-level candidate training. The Sahara DTS typically begins in January of each year and lasts six months.

Phase Two is the School of Frontier Missions (SoFM), which more fully prepares workers for pioneering efforts among the unreached people groups of the Sahara region. The Sahara SoFM annually starts in September and ends in December, thus allowing trainees to complete a year of training with us (with a break in the Summer) prior to joining a team in the field.
