TO KNOW GOD AND MAKE HIM KNOWN
Ready for a journey of ‘no return’? The 6 months of the DTS can change your life and ruin you for the ordinary! If you want to know God in a deep and relevant way; to gain a better understanding of His purposes and principles; to apply His truth to your life; to grasp God’s love for a hurting world; and if you are willing to spend six months of your life in wholehearted pursuit of God and begin a journey of radical discipleship – then the Sahara DTS is for you! Radical discipleship means being willing to live a life that pleases God - 24/7. It means the transformation of thinking, behavior, and priorities. It means to be ready to go wherever God calls you – be it your home town or the ends of the earth. The DTS is for anyone who has a hunger for God and a heart for the lost! It will train and equip you to serve more effectively, wherever God is calling you - at home or abroad. However, don't be surprised if God gives you His heart and passion for the people of North Africa!
The Discipleship Training School is more than YWAM’s entry-level course: It is a wild pursuit of God and His heart for the nations! As a student, you will be joined by individuals from around the globe and various walks of life. Together, you will be immersed into a community dedicated to effectively reaching the world with the Gospel. The DTS is a prerequisite and the foundational course for all other University of the Nations (YWAM's global university - www.uofn.edu) courses and for serving on staff within Youth With A Mission.

The Lecture Phase "To Know God..."
Your adventure begins with a three-month lecture phase in which you will discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Renowned speakers along with devoted staff will encourage and challenge you to get to know God's heart for you – and for the nations. Learning and growing will take place in the classroom as well as in small groups, individual mentoring times and through living and working in community. Worship, intercession, practical work and community outreaches are an integral part of the lecture phase as well.
The Outreach "...To Make Him Known"
Following the Lecture Phase, we will spend 8-12 weeks on outreach! Time to pass on what you've learned. You have been blessed – to be a blessing! No location or people is off-limits. You as a disciple have been called to preach the Good News, to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, to mend the broken-hearted, to set free the captive, to heal the sick. North Africa is waiting for you!
