Our story began when God called people like you, and they obeyed His voice

Jesus Is God

“Jesus is God. It is the truth. We believe!” — This was the voice message left by a local North African one year ago. This simple yet powerful declaration of faith is a clear sign of the deep work of the Holy Spirit in North Africa.

Seeing North African friends come to saving faith in Jesus is often the result of a long, hard-fought journey—one that can take years of friendship, shared meals, storytelling, evangelism, reading Scripture together, and desperate prayer before the Lord. When even one person believes, it is no small victory for the Kingdom of God.

In 1991, the YWAM North Africa Base was established in Southern Spain as a strategic launching point for ministry into North Africa. Predominantly Muslim and with little Gospel influence, the North Africa region includes Algeria, Chad, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, and Tunisia.

YWAM North Africa runs a Discipleship Training School (DTS) and a secondary school called Foundations in Intercultural Studies (FIS). The base also provides hospitality and member care for long-term workers in the region. The team is committed to sending new workers and teams into areas where more than 130 million people remain unreached with the Gospel.
